Minimal anatomy. Maximum impact.

Featuring a bold, simplified silhouette of the aortic arch and its three major branches, this sweatshirt turns an instantly recognizable piece of vascular anatomy into clean, understated medical apparel. The high-contrast chest graphic is designed to stand out without looking overly busy—perfect for radiologists, interventional radiologists, cardiologists, vascular surgeons, residents, medical students and anatomy enthusiasts.

Made from heavyweight 300 GSM fleece, it provides warmth and structure while remaining soft and comfortable enough for everyday wear. The unisex regular fit, classic crew neck and ribbed cuffs and hem create a relaxed silhouette suitable for all genders.

The story behind the design — the branch nobody names correctly

Three vessels leave this arch: brachiocephalic trunk, left common carotid, left subclavian. When the first two share an origin — around 13% of people, and considerably more in some populations — everyone calls it a “bovine arch.”

It is a misnomer, and a well-documented one. Cattle do not have that arch. In cattle a single great vessel leaves the aorta and then divides into a bicarotid trunk and both subclavians — a pattern that looks nothing like the human variant it lends its name to. Radiology has been told this since at least 2006 and has cheerfully carried on saying it anyway.
